He became known as a “road warrior” after beating Josh Warrington in Leeds for the IBF belt in 2022 before travelling to Dublin to punish Michael Conlan. Leo (24-1) won the WBO super bantamweight title in 2020 but lost the belt a few months later against Stephen Fulton. He is 4-0 since then, with three wins via knockout. “El Chinito” has 11 wins via the power punch.

“We know that Angelo Leo is a good fighter who comes forward throwing lots of punches. He doesn't stop in there. So I think we’re going to need a lot of stamina, and we’re going to need to throw a lot of punches,” Lopez said via Boxing Scene.
“We’re going to be smart but also aggressive. It’s going to be a good fight. It will be a good test for both of us. I don’t plan on letting go of my title. It’s going to be a great clash.”
