Tim Tszyu will remain in the United States and continue his training camp, despite his world title fight with Jermell Charlo being postponed.

The current undisputed super welterweight champion suffered a broken hand during training, putting their January 28th bout on the back-burner.

Tszyu flew over to Los Angeles earlier in December to begin preparations for the biggest fight of his career, but has now been left stranded and without a fight.

The 28-year-old hasn't fought since March, with his debut on American soil ending in an unanimous decision victory over Terrell Gausha.

On Monday night (AEDT), Tszyu's manager Glen Jennings posted a statement on social media confirming that the undefeated Aussie would stay in the US as his management scramble to find a replacement fight.

"Just a quick update as to where to from here, since Charlo injury postponed Jan 28 Undisputed Title. Team Tszyu will continue on in camp USA whilst Matt Rose and I are working to find a replacement fight for Tim to keep him busy," he said.

"You all know Tim can’t sit around waiting, so we are exploring all options for a fight asap. Tim is disappointed, but focused still on what comes next.

"He’s a fighter, he wants to fight, so waiting for Charlo recovery is not an option...until then training continues in USA.

"I’ll do my best to keep you all informed as we get closer to an outcome that works. Tim will be ready for Charlo once he’s cleared for undisputed and Tim will be even more determined to bring all 4 belts home.

"Thanks for the amazing support. These things are part of boxing, we just dust ourselves off, regroup and get back to what we do best."

Tszyu will likely have no shortage of fighters lining up for a shot at him given his status and impending title bout, with highly-ranked contender Tony Harrison calling out the mandatory WBO challenger on social media.

Tszyu has a career record of 21-0, with 15 wins coming via knockout, and has disposed of multiple big names in Australia.
