The Atlanta Braves certainly have been busy over the last few weeks.
Atlanta has been bitten by the injury bug in a major way this season. The Braves currently are missing Spencer Strider, Ronald Acuña Jr., and Ozzie Albies and yet they hold the top National League Wild Card spot with a 56-49 record.
The Braves have a chance to do something special this year despite the plethora of injuries. Atlanta is one of the deepest teams in baseball and has shown it by somehow staying above water. The Braves are worth investing in and the front office is ahead of the deadline.
Atlanta made yet another move on Monday night as the club reunited with All-Star slugger and World Series Most Valuable Player Jorge Soler, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.
"Breaking: The Atlanta Braves are finalizing a deal to acquire outfielder Jorge Soler from the San Francisco Giants, sources tell ESPN," Passan said.
Soler was acquired by the Braves in 2021 after Acuña got hurt and played a massive role with the club down the stretch. He helped lead the Braves to the World Series in 2021 and took home World Series MVP honors.
Maybe history can repeat itself now that Soler is back in Atlanta and the club has a real chance to make some noise later in the season. There still is some time left for the Braves to make another move but it already has been a great trade deadline for Atlanta.
