Filling in for an injured Marcelo Nunes, Maurice Greene is looking to take advantage of the opportunity he received by advancing to the PFL Finals. In his way at PFL 8 is Renan Ferreira. The heavyweights clash on August 18.

PFL 8 takes place at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York. The event, featuring heavyweights and women’s featherweights, will be streamed on ESPN+ in the U.S. and DAZN in the U.K.

Greene, who trains with UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones, beat Marcelo Nunes in April but lost against Ante Delija in June. A former UFC standout, Greene, ranked fifth in the standings, has six wins via submission and three via knockout. He faces someone in Ferreira who knocked out Matheus Scheffel to advance to the playoffs.

With four wins in the PFL, Ferreira’s finally ready to reach the finals after falling short last season.

The co-main event will be former lightweight champion Larissa Pacheco vs. Olena Kolesnyk in featherweight action. Beating Kayla Harrison last year in a major upset, Pacheco bested Julia Budd and Amber Leibrock this year to advance. Kolesnyk beat Aspen Ladd and Yoko Higashi to advance and looks to avenge a loss against Pacheco from the previous year’s semi-finals.

The other semi-final bouts are Denis Goltsov vs. Jordan Heiderman (heavyweight) and Marina Mokhnatkina vs. Leibrock (featherweight).

Here's all you need to know about the event, from the time, channel, and card.
