How tall is Caitlin Clark? Height no obstacle for Iowa star drawing Stephen Curry comparisons

Past half court, there might not be a spot on the floor where Caitlin Clark won't pull up.

The superstar guard has led Iowa's charge to the national championship game in 2023 and on another run in 2024, and her time in the spotlight during the Hawkeyes' March Madness runs has helped make her one of basketball's biggest all-time stars.

Clark has impressed with her ability to make a shot from anywhere on the court. She'll cut through the paint and drop in a layup. She'll stop short and make a basket from mid-range. She'll take aim from the logo and splash in a deep 3.

Her style of play has harkened comparisons to Warriors star Stephen Curry, the NBA's all-time leading 3-point shooter and one of the most electric guards in league history.

Clark won't stand out as the tallest player on the court, but height is certainly not a problem for her. How tall is Clark? Here's what you need to know.

Caitlin Clark-Stephen Curry comparison

It's easy to see why Clark is often compared to Curry. She's not the tallest player on the court, but her 3-point range and overall scoring ability make her among the most dangerous on any court.

Since Clark arrived at Iowa, no Division I women's basketball player has drained more 3s than her with her 528. She led the nation with 116 as a freshman (19 more than the next-closest player), she did it again as a junior with 132 (14 more than the next-closest player) and again as a senior with 181 (66 more than the next-closest player).

And these aren't just step-back 3s past the line. Some of her shots are from extremely long range. In 2023, ESPN reported her average 3-pointer came from 26 feet, 1 inch out, the longest in Division I.

When she made her record-setting basket to claim the NCAA Division I women's basketball all-time scoring title, her shot was from considerably beyond the 3-point line.

For reference, the NBA 3-point line ranges from 22 feet to 23 feet, 9 inches.

"Caitlin's special," Warriors star Steph Curry told ESPN of Clark's record. "The record speaks for itself, and it's cool. From a scoring perspective, from a shooting perspective, just doing what she's doing -- she could pick anybody that she talks about in terms of being an inspiration. If she models something of her game after me, I don't take that for granted."

Clark later surpassed Curry for the most made 3-pointers in a single season when she topped his 2007-08 total of 162, which was tied with Darius McGhee. She took the record during the Big Ten Tournament, and has since blown past the mark to reach 181 in the 2023-24 campaign with still more of the NCAA Tournament left to play.
