Colorado had a historic day at the 2024 NBA Draft, with small forward Tristan da Silva selected by the Orlando Magic with the No. 18 overall pick in the first round — the second Buff selected in the first round following small forward Cody Williams to the Utah Jazz at No. 11 overall.

One of the older players in the draft at 23 years old, da Silva was a three-year starter and two-time All-Pac-12 pick for the Buffs. In 2023-24, da Silva averaged career highs for points (16.0), rebounds (5.4), assists (2.9), free-throw percentag (83.5) and three-point percentage (39.5).

The Atlanta Hawks selected French wing Zaccharie Risacher with the No. 1 overall pick. It was the second consecutive year the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft came from France following Victor Wembanyama in 2023.
