Say what you want about all of the changes we're seeing in college football, but one that has been a slum dunk was the foresight of former Big Ten commissioner, Jim Delany, to launch the first conference television network back in 2007. It has been one of the main reasons the Big Ten has pushed things forward with revenue and has its place among the top two power conferences in the country.
It couldn't have been a third-rate production though, and so far, it has been anything but. For 2024, the network plans to continue that with its on-air talent and announced the personalities that will be a part of the college football coverage this fall. Some familiar faces like Dave Revsine and Mike Hall will return to the desk, along with some familiar broadcasters.
Analysts during game broadcasts will be Jake Butt, Yogi Roth, and Anthony Herron. Lincoln Kennedy, four-time Super Bowl Champion Matt Millen, and Illini All-American linebacker J Leman will also act as analysts. They'll be accompanied by Jeff Levering, Guy Haberman, Mark Followill, Lisa Byington, Jason Ross Jr., Jason Horowitz, Pat Boylan and Joe Beninati performing the play-by-play.
When things go down to the sideline, the network will call upon on-field reporters Brooke Fletcher, Rhett Lewis, Melanie Ricks, Taryn Hatcher, and Kylen Mills, while Mike Pereira and Dean Blandino will also return as rules analysts.
Rick Pizzo, Gerry DiNardo, and Howard Griffith will return with Brock Vereen on the desk for "B1G Tailgate" and other programming. The Final Drive will also be back with Revsine, Marcel Reece, and newcomer Ashley Adamson.
Ohio State fans will be happy to know that Tyvis Powell will join Mike Hall for B1G Tailgate and that Urban Meyer will continue his "Urban Analysis" spots.
