Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders has been the target of NFL teams since the moment he stepped on a college football field for Jackson State in 2021 because of his pedigree — he’s the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders — and his incredible talent.

Sanders will finally realize that NFL potential in 2025 and ESPN’s Field Yates has him projected as the No. 4 overall pick to the Tennessee Titans in a mock draft released on Aug. 21.

Sanders was one of two Colorado players projected as first-round picks along with cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter at No. 11 overall to the Seattle Seahawks.

From ESPN: “If Tennessee is picking this high, it would — like with the Panthers — at least invite questions about whether to address quarterback again. I would argue yes for the Titans, though, as Will Levis being a second-round pick (in 2023) makes the financial side of this situation far less complicated than Carolina's predicament, allowing them to move on from him. Sanders could wind up in the conversation for the first overall pick of the draft, as he's an absolutely surgical pocket passer. He completed 69.3% of his throws last season and threw just three interceptions. He has great arm strength and pristine accuracy.”

The Titans are in a disastrous stretch of picking quarterbacks in the first round dating back almost 20 years. That includes high-profile busts in Vince Young in 2006 (No. 3 overall), Jake Locker in 2011 (No. 8 overall) and Marcus Mariota in 2015 (No. 2 overall).
