There's something about Colorado cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter that's hard to qualify because his talent is so unique.
Which means that when it comes to the Associated Press Preseason All-American Team, putting him at the All-Purpose position is truly fitting.
Hunter landed on the AP Preseason All-American First Team on Aug. 19 after winning the Lou Groza Award and making the AP All-American Team at the all-Purpose spot in 2023. Hunter is the first truly two-way star in college football in several generations and projected as a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft — regardless of where he decides to line up.
Hunter was one of four players from the Big 12 Conference named to the AP Preseason All-American Team alongside Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan (first team), Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II (first team) and Oklahoma State linebacker Nick Martin (second team).
Colorado opens the season on Aug. 31 at home against FCS North Dakota State.
