The San Francisco 49ers could have some major changes on the way.

San Francisco has been in trade rumors over the last few months as the future of star receiver Brandon Aiyuk is in doubt. He is looking for a new contract and although it seemed like a certainty at one point that it would happen with San Francisco, it isn't as clear right now.

The 49ers have discussed a new deal with Aiyuk but the talks recently "stalled" which has led to an increase in trade speculation.

It's unclear where he will land, but CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin compiled a list of the most likely landing spots for Aiyuk and surprisingly mentioned the Arizona Cardinals.

"Arizona just spent a No. 4 overall draft pick on Marvin Harrison Jr., but Kyler Murray could still use more offensive weaponry as he enters Year 6, eager to prove he can stay healthy and live up to a top-10 quarterback contract," Benjamin said. "Aiyuk, meanwhile, finished his college career at Arizona State and could cash in thanks to the Cardinals owning more than $35 million in 2024 salary cap space."

The Cardinals would make a lot of sense for Aiyuk to give Murray another weapon, but it would be surprising for the 49ers to trade Aiyuk within the division. Arizona may need someone like Aiyuk, but a trade should be considered unlikely at this point.
