With training camp approaching, we should see the end of the Brandon Aiyuk sweepstakes soon.

Whether he remains with the San Francisco 49ers or is traded elsewhere, a decision should be made in the very near future. While it would be great if the 49ers could hold on to Aiyuk for the foreseeable future, it seems to be a toss-up on what will actually happen.

Aiyuk has developed into a star with the 49ers and is looking to be paid as such. The 49ers haven't reached an agreement with Aiyuk yet and CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin put together a list of hypothetical trade proposals involving him and one even was a three-team deal with the Denver Broncos and Washington Commanders.

"Broncos get: (Wide Receiver) Jamison Crowder (Washington), 2025 third-round pick (Washington), Commanders get: (Wide Receiver) Brandon Aiyuk (San Francisco) and 49ers get: (Wide Receiver) Courtland Sutton (Denver), 2025 second-round pick (Washington)," Benjamin said. "Let's get funky, eh?

"Denver is in a bit of a contract bind of its own, with Sutton contemplating a training camp holdout as he seeks a pay raise entering Year 7. While Sean Payton may not prefer to part with his club's most accomplished wideout, he could also use more resources for the long-term build around rookie quarterback Bo Nix. Crowder is aging, but his reliability as a possession target would probably appeal to Payton's eye for efficiency."

This deal would be great for the 49ers because they would get another star receiver in the process but it just is a hypothetical deal. Hopefully, the 49ers can come to terms on a new deal with Aiyuk and won't have to deal with a trade.
