As the official NFL season approaches, many rookies will be playing and/or starting in their first ever games, like Denver Broncos' quarterback Bo Nix. While it is hard to say how a rookie will perform during his first season, some experts do not have a lot of faith in the Broncos' starter.

Bo Nix is entering this 2024-25 season coming off some great preseason performances. In the two games Nix played in, he threw for 23 completions and 205 yards on 30 attempts while also adding two touchdowns. With such performances in only two games, Nix was placed on 'PFF's' Preseason All-Rookie Team

However, there are people who do not think his skills will transfer over to the real games. ESPN NFL senior writer Mike Clay gave his 2024 NFL Projection guide, and has Nix having an interesting season.

If Nix stays healthy and plays all of the games, Clay has Nix throwing for just over 3,100 yards and 17 touchdowns. While this looks decent, Clay also has Nix throwing 13 interceptions and giving up four fumbles, with rushing yards and rushing touchdowns thrown into the mix.

Now, of course there are numerous rookies that do not pan out to who they were supposed to be or end up having a couple bad seasons. But to say this for Bo Nix is an extremely hot take.

Not only has Nix put up spectacular numbers in the preseason, but he was able to beat out two seasoned quarterbacks for the starting spot. Nix may be a rookie, but to say he won't perform better than the stats previously mentioned is up for debate.
