The Chicago Bears have made a handful of high-impact additions to the offense this offseason.

Chicago has had one of the best offseasons of any National Football League franchise but it could get better soon. The Bears still have plenty of cap space to work with and there are some free agents available who could help.

One player who could make a lot of sense is former Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, and Dallas Cowboys superstar Stephon Gilmore.

The 2019 Defensive Player of the Year has been one of the best cornerbacks in football over the last 10 years and now is looking for his next opportunity.

He spent the 2023 season with the Cowboys and had a strong season with two interceptions, 13 passes defended, one forced fumble, and 68 total tackles.

Chicago has done a great job in improving the offense this offseason but the defense still could use a little bit of work. The Bears currently have Jaylon Johnson and Tyrique Stevenson expected to be the team's starting corners, but adding Gilmore would help take the team to the next level.

Gilmore is a superstar and immediately would be the Bears' most accomplished player in the secondary. Why not take a chance on him at this point in the offseason?

The Bears are expected to take a major step forward in 2024 but could be even better with another major move or two in free agency.
