Training camp will kick off in a few weeks and there surely will be plenty of movement across free agency ahead of it.

The 2024 National Football League season will be here in the not-so-distant future and there still are a lot of top-tier talent looking for their next opportunities. One player who still is out there in free agency is former Chicago Bears defensive end Yannick Ngakoue.

Ngakoue spent the 2023 season with Chicago and had four sacks in 13 games played. The Bears could make sense as a reunion option but there are other teams out there who will have interest in him.

Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox even mentioned the Atlanta Falcons as one of the "potential suitors" for Ngakoue.

"Prior to his 2023 campaign with the Chicago Bears—which ended prematurely due to a broken ankle—Yannick Ngakoue was one of the NFL's most consistent pass-rushers," Knox said. "Over his first seven seasons, Ngakoue recorded no fewer than eight sacks in any given year. He recorded 10 sacks in 2021 and 9.5 sacks in 2022.

"Ngakoue's injury is probably the biggest reason why he should be available on a budget now. A workout video that Ngakoue posted to social media in May suggests he's now healthy, but the 29-year-old is still coming off a down season...Still, a return to form is possible, and Ngakoue should draw interest from teams like the Atlanta Falcons and Las Vegas Raiders."

Ngakoue is an eight-year NFL veteran who certainly could help any team that is looking to add on the edge. Chicago could use his talents but it sounds like he could go elsewhere.
