Madden NFL 25 is set for a full release on Aug. 16, but the game has already been ruffling plenty of feathers when it comes to both players and fans, and Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Jack Jones is in that group.
Ahead of the game's release on Friday, Madden NFL 25 has revealed player ratings as the game does every year and Jones ended up with a 74 overall mark, which wasn't even in the top 70 at his position.
Safe to say, Jones wasn't happy about his rating and he made that quite clear after the team's Allegiant Stadium practice on Wednesday.
"Oh my goodness," Jones said, per Vegas Sports today. "They crazy, I don't even got nothing to say to them, they crazy... 74? ... How many interceptions I've got? Four? That's the record for the most (defensive) touchdowns in 20 games, or 22 games. Let's start there.
"Second of all, how many interceptions I got, what, I think four? Three of them for six?"
Since entering the league as a fourth-round pick of the New England Patriots in 2022, Jones has recorded four interceptions in total, three of which he took to the house. Two of those came with the Raiders in 2023. The three pick-sixes ties the NFL record for the most by a player over their first 22 games.
After being let go by the Patriots last season, Jones was claimed off waivers by the Raiders and went on to make a huge impact. On top of his touchdowns, Jones was a revelation in coverage, ceding a completion rate of 56.3% and a passer rating of just 63.0 in seven games.
Looking ahead to 2024, Jones will serve as the Raiders' top cornerback and has an opportunity to cement himself as one of the better ones in the league. There's no doubt he deserved way better than the lackluster rating the video game gave him.
