We could all use a good timeline cleanse every now and then, and the son of Detroit Lions linebacker Alex Anzalone is providing one today.
Lions budding star edge rusher and 2022 No. 2 overall pick Aidan Hutchinson sat down for an interview with WXYZ 7 News' Jeanna Trotman recently and the pair were interrupted by Anzalone's son, Cooper.
First, Cooper could be heard yelling Hutchinson's name in the midst of the interview, but when Hutchinson tried to get him to come over and talk, Cooper completely ghosted the Lions edge rusher and ran right past him.
Thankfully, all of it was caught on camera. Be prepared for cuteness overload.
Cooper is just one of many fans Hutchinson has picked up over his first two seasons in the NFL.
After tallying 9.5 sacks and finishing as the runner-up in the Defensive Rookie of the Year voting in 2022, Hutchinson followed that up with a career-best 11.5 sacks and a Pro Bowl nod in 2023.
Hutchinson rightly garnered more respect from his peers, as the Michigan product leaped a whopping 41 spots from No. 88 to No. 47 on the annual top-100 players list that is voted on by fellow NFL players.
He also cracked the ESPN rankings of the top-10 edge rushers in the NFL based on the opinions of coaches, scouts and execs for the first time, coming in at No. 6.
Looking ahead to 2024, Hutchinson is primed to take another leap on the road to being one of the very best pass-rushers in the league.
