The 2024 NFL season is right around the corner, with each team set for one final tune-up game in Week 3 of the preseason.
Several of the league's star quarterbacks made their preseason debuts last weekend. Patrick Mahomes played two series in the Chiefs' loss to the Lions, dazzling with a behind-the-back pass that resembled Mahomes at his best. Miami's Tua Tagovailoa had himself a perfect start, finishing 5-for-5 with 51 yards and a touchdown in a win over the Commanders.
Meanwhile, the hype train rolls along for Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. The No. 1 overall pick in April's NFL Draft, Williams recorded a pair of electric plays in his second start against the Bengals, sparking a Chicago win.

Among the other rookies, Washington's Jayden Daniels, the No. 2 overall pick, had just two incompletions on 12 pass attempts.
The Week 3 slate should bring more debuts and intrigue. Williams and Mahomes are primed to go head-to-head Thursday night, with the promising rookie taking on the two-time MVP.
Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts are among the veteran quarterbacks yet to make their preseason debuts entering Week 3.

NFL Network will air eight preseason games in Week 3 on national television, with CBS and NBC each broadcasting one game. All of the other games will be available on local stations in the teams' respective markets.
