The Green Bay Packers are in a good spot right now but it wouldn't hurt to add another weapon to the offense for young quarterback Jordan Love.

Love took over the starting quarterback position last season and had a fantastic year under center. The 25-year-old racked up just under 4,200 passing yards to go along with 32 passing touchdowns. He also added four touchdowns on the ground.

Green Bay exceeded expectations and even pulled off a playoff win last year. Now, expectations are even higher with another year under Love's belt.

The Packers have some intriguing weapons on offense to help make Love's life easier, but it wouldn't hurt to add more depth. One player it could make some sense to take a chance on at this point in the summer would be former New Orleans Saints superstar Michael Thomas.

Thomas at one point was one of, if not the best receivers in football. Injuries have completely derailed his career, but he currently is healthy and is looking for a new home. He may not be a No. 1 receiver any longer, but he still could help the Packers' offense as a dependable option out of the slot.

The 31-year-old is looking for a new home and likely wouldn't cost much at all with the new season kicking off in just a few short weeks. If the Packers want to add a little more depth, they should take a chance on Thomas before someone else can.
