The Green Bay Packers are expected to be extremely active over the next few days.

Green Bay -- like every other team in the National Football League -- will have to trim down its roster with the 2024 campaign now just two weeks away. The Packers are in a good spot, but they will have to make some tough decisions as they trim the roster down to 53 players.

Some trades could be on the way and NFL Trade Rumors' Logan Ulrich mentioned guard Royce Newman as someone who could be on the move

"Eagles OL Matt Hennessy, (Washington Commanders) Commanders (center) Ricky Stromberg, (Green Bay Packers) (guard) Royce Newman, (and) (Arizona Cardinals) OL Evan Brown or Elijah Wilkinson," Ulrich said. "Newman is in the final year of his contract and already took a pay cut to try and help his roster chances. He has a lot of starting experience, however, which could make him somewhat valuable to another team."

Newman has spent time as a starter with the Packers and also in more of a depth role. He's someone that would be nice to have around the team this upcoming season, but Green Bay will have to make some tough choices.

The Packers seem to have a surplus of offensive line talent and that could mean someone like Newman could be on the way out. He has plenty of experience and if the Packers were to part ways with him, likely could find a trade partner. If the Packers were to pull off a trade, it likely would be for a late-round draft pick.

Keep an eye on him over the next few days with the Packers having to make choices soon.
