Tottenham Hotspur will take on Everton in their first home match of the season on Saturday, August 24 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London.

The hosts come into the match looking to make amends of a rather lackluster performance in their first match of the season, when they were held to a 1-1 draw against Leicester City.

In their season opener, Everton were handed a 3-0 defeat at Goodison Park by Brighton and Hove Albion.

Tottenham vs. Everton lineups, team news

Postecoglou went viral on Monday evening for his hunched-over position in the 100th minute as his side drew to Leicester. His team, for the most part, played well but will be looking to build on last year's promising season.

With the arrival of Dominic Solanke, the team has an out-and-out striker that can cause a disrupted Everton backline problems.

It remains to be seen whether Yves Bissouma will be welcomed back to the squad after he was suspended for inhaling laughing gas and Rodrigo Bentancur's scenario remains unknown leaving Pape Sarr with few midfield partners.

Tottenham predicted (4-3-3, right to left): Vicario (GK) — Spence, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie — Sarr, Bergvall, Maddison — Son, Solanke, Johnson.

Injured: Bentancur, Porro (doubt), Richarlison (doubt)
Suspended:

Dyche has his work cut out for him this year after losing Amadou Onana to Aston Villa and with Jarrad Branthwaite's future still up in the air, his starting squad appears disjointed.

Ashley Young was sent off in the opener vs. Brighton and is likely to be replaced in the lineup by Mason Holgate alongside James Tarkowski, Michael Keane and Vitalii Mykolenko.

Everton predicted (4-4-1-1, right to left): Pickford (GK) — Holgate, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko — Harrison, Gueye,  Iroegbunam, McNeil — Doucoure — Calvert-Lewin.

Injured: Patterson, Garner (doubt), Coleman (doubt), Branthwaite (doubt)
Suspended: Young
