So … um … let it be known that Randy Orton is … ahem … not a fan of NBA megastar and living legend LeBron James. The WWE superstar, and living legend in his own right, sat down recently with Cody Rhodes for what became an interesting conversation that departed professional wrestling and made its way to other sports.
That’s when Rhodes posed the question of who Orton views as the true GOAT in sports, James’ name being tossed in the ring for obvious reasons, including his recent Olympic MVP nod that helped lift the US to gold in Paris.

Asked and answered, folks.
“There’s a conversation going around about The GOAT,” said Rhodes as he poured the two a drink on his “What Do Ya Wanna Talk About?” podcast. “The Greatest of All-Time. It’s what we call John [Cena], the Greatest of All-Time, but it’s a GOAT conversation. Just like in all sports, you talk about LeBron, Michael [Jordan] and all the different things.”
To which Randy Orton replied, basically giving James a digital RKO outta nowhere.
“Yo, f*ck LeBron,” Orton abruptly replied.
Welp, there’s that.

“OK, we’re off. We’re off hot,” said Rhodes.
It was easily one of the most eye-opening moments of the entire interview, and a moment that went viral due to the timing of it and the fact there are probably just as many people on this planet who believe James is the GOAT as there are who assign the title to Jordan, or Kobe Bryant or maybe someone in a different sport (e.g., Muhammad Ali, Serena Williams, Michael Phelps, etc.).
We’ll never again have to wonder where Orton stands on the King, though.
