As it turns out, Xavier Woods was right. The disappearance of Odyssey Jones from the WWE roster and broadcasts apparently have nothing to do with a potential kayfabe division within The New Day, but instead it’s reportedly due to a much more serious matter entirely.

Jones is involved in domestic violence allegations that came to light, per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, likely resulting in the WWE pulling the ejector lever on Jones amidst his recent viral success on the promotion.

At this time, no charges have been pressed and no arrests have been made, Sapp adds.

Considering the seriousness of this report, we will refrain from all manner of speculation regarding Jones’ personal life and career in professional wrestling, only to say that his continued absence will force the WWE to pivot their storyline within The New Day.

As for Jones, more details will eventually come to light in one direction or the other, and The Sporting News will keep you posted as they become available.

Jones, 30, began his journey at the WWE Combine before being promoted to NXT and eventually drafted in two consecutive years to RAW before getting notoriety this past summer.
