There might be a change in the plan involving Roman Reigns. The WWE initially had the OTC slated to appear in subsequent, consecutive episodes of SmackDown following his triumphant return at Summerslam to take down Solo Sikoa and the Bloodline, and has since seen him on the Blue Brand in the two weeks that followed the PLE.

He’s suddenly been removed from the marketing for the SmackDown episode set for Friday, Sept. 13, though, begging the question of if the Original Tribal Chief will show up at day.

Reigns has been replaced on the main banner by Tiffany Stratton, Miss Money in the Bank 2024, after having been present on the banner since as early as Aug. 9.

This move comes only days after Reigns was caught off-guard by a sneak attack from an injured Jacob Fatu, leading to the Bloodline pummeling him before executing their usual mayonnaise move of putting their opponent through the announcer’s table to end the show.

Yes, that is unfortunately still a thing because, after all, who needs variety nowadays?

This doesn’t mean Reigns is guaranteed to not appear that week, but deleting him from the banner that promotes the migration of SmackDown from FOX to USA Network feels a bit odd, seeing as it’s a massive change that you’d think the WWE would want to capitalize upon by using its biggest names to get off to a fast start in the Blue Brand’s new digs.

Then again, they could always just change it back eventually, maybe?
