Medals will be won in the women's 100m backstroke, men's 800m freestyle and men's 4x200 freestyle relay. USA's Regan Smith is favored at sportsbooks for gold in the women's 100m backstroke, and American Bobby Finke is the second betting choice in the men's 800m free.

DraftKings' women's 100m backstroke odds: Aussie McKeown challenges Smith
Check out top contenders in the women's 100m backstroke, according to DraftKings' odds.
- Regan Smith (USA) -125
- Kaylee McKeown (AUS) +110
- Katharine Berkoff (USA) +600
- Kylie Masse (CAN) +1600
- Ingrid Wilm (CAN) +2500
McKeown is the defending Olympic champion in this event, but Smith set the world record (57.13 seconds) in June. She's seeking her first gold medal here, and we think she gets it. This shapes up as a two-woman race and it's hard to envision anybody but Smith or McKeown going home with gold.
Bet365 odds for men's 800m freestyle: USA's Finke is second betting favorite
Here are odds on the top contenders in the men's 800m freestyle from Bet365.
- Daniel Wiffen (IRL) +100
- Bobby Finke (USA) +450
- Elijah Winnington (AUS) +600
- Gregorio Paltrinieri (ITA) +650
- Sven Schwarz (GER) +2500
Australia's Sam Short was considered a gold medal threat along with Ireland's Wiffen, but he failed to qualify for the men's 800m freestyle final. That leaves Wiffen as a solid favorite after he won this event at the 2024 World Championships. Don't discount Team USA's Finke, who won both the 800m freestyle and 1500m freestyle at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
Men's 4x200m Freestyle Relay (Bet365): USA behind Great Britain on odds board
The USA is the second betting choice in Tuesday's men's 4x200 freestyle relay. Great Britain is priced as the odds-on favorite.
Here are odds from Bet365:
- Great Britain -250
- USA +400
- Australia +1000
- South Korea +1000
- China +1400
- Italy +2500
- Germany +2800
- France +4000
Great Britain won gold in this event at the 2020 Tokyo Games, and most observers think they'll repeat in Paris. The question is whether Great Britain will break the USA's world record, which was set way back in 2008 at the Beijing Games. Michael Phelps was part of that record-setting team. Team USA's Chris Guiliano, who already captured gold in this year's men's 4x100m relay, will need to come up big again if Great Britain is to be threatened here.
