Babar Azam was in action in Pakistan's first match of the Asia Cup Super Four stage against Bangladesh on Wednesday.

The two continental rivals faced each other in what is the run-up to the ODI World Cup next month.

Winning the toss, Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan chose to bat first which meant Babar Azam came to bat in the second innings.

The Pakistan captain got dismissed for just 17 runs off 22 balls as Taskin Ahmed bowled him.

How many runs did Babar Azam score in Asia Cup 2023?

In the tournament opener against Nepal, Babar Azam hit his 19th ODI century as he scored 151 and helped his team pick up a comfortable win by 238 runs.

In the second match, Azam did not get a chance to bat as even before Pakistan could come out for their innings against India, the match got washed out due to rains.
