Former Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan is recognised as one of the cricket's most legendary figures. With his distinctive action and quick run-up, 'Murali' retired after hitting the mythical mark of 800 Test wickets, the only bowler to do so thus far, and almost 100 wickets ahead of the great Shane Warne's tally of 708.

At an event held to launch the trailer of his biopic titled '800', Muralitharan answered a few candid questions, including which batters and teams he found difficult and easy to bowl against.

'Rahul Dravid could never read me'- Muttiah Muralitharan

When asked about Indian batters in particular, he said,

He (Tendulkar) read me very well. Not many people can do [that]. [Brian] Lara had success, but he never hit me either.

I know a few people, like Rahul Dravid; he is one of the greatest players, but he never read me. Sachin (Sehwag) and Gambhir would read. Even in my team, some people read and some did not.

Muralitharan also praised India great Sachin Tendulkar who was present at the event, saying, "What he has done in cricket, nobody can do. It is a fact. It is impossible for someone to get into First Class cricket at 15 years, getting a Test hundred at 16-17 years (of age). Another Sachin Tendulkar won’t be born in my life."
