Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, has been part of the Mumbai Indians setup since 2021.

He made his debut in the competition on April 16, 2023 against Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium.

After playing on and off in the 2023 season, Tendulkar did not play in IPL 2024, until MI's final league match against Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium.

What is Arjun Tendulkar's bowling style?

Arjun was born to legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar and Anjali Tendulkar in Mumbai on September 24, 1999.

He bowls left-arm pace and also bats left-handed, unlike his father who used to bowl and bat right-handed.

Arjun Tendulkar record, bio

The all-rounder made his debut for the India U19 side in 2018 when he was called up to the national team for a Test series against Sri Lanka. Tendulkar picked up a wicket on his national team debut.

He made his T20 debut for the Mumbai cricket team during the 2020/21 Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. Once again on his debut T20 game against Haryana, he took a wicket and gave away 34 runs.

Ahead of the 2022/23 Ranji Trophy season, Tendulkar opted to play for Goa leaving the Mumbai setup. Emulating his father, Tendulkar scored a century on his Ranji Trophy debut against Rajasthan. He appeared in seven matches in the last Ranji season where he scored 223 runs and picked 12 wickets.

Arjun Tendulkar IPL auction price

Arjun Tendulkar was picked by an IPL team for the first time in 2021 when MI bought him at the IPL 2021 auction for his base price of INR 20 lakhs.

At the IPL 2022 auction he was up for sale and once against MI bought him. This time, though, they were involved in a brief bidding war with Gujarat Titans but they eventually signed him for INR 30 lakhs.

Arjun Tendulkar's coach, trainer

At the youth level, he was coached by Mumbai-based Atul Gaikwad. He played an important role in the young cricketer's formative years.

Recently the southpaw was seen training under former India cricketer turned actor Yograj Singh who is also the father of legendary Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. In September 2022 Tendulkar trained under Singh for two weeks to prepare for the JP Atray Memorial Cricket Tournament.
