One of the most iconic tracks on the Formula One circuit plays host to the 12th race of the season in 2024, as the 79th British Grand Prix gets underway from Silverstone this weekend off the back of a shock British victory in Austria last time out.
The European summer of consecutive Formula 1 meetings continues at pace with the third race (of seven) in a row to take place in motorsport's spiritual home. Spain and Austria have already provided two classics, with last weekend's meeting at the Red Bull Ring being one for the ages.

The chaos at Red Bull Ring tees up a British Grand Prix that is far too close to call, with Verstappen and Norris both looking to make up for their costly mistake one week ago. This weekend's race takes place on Sunday, July 7 from 3:00 p.m. local time (BST), with the home crowd having their British drivers to get behind, all of whom are expected to challenge.
While Russell will be hoping to build on his first race win of the season, his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton is out to extend his record-breaking victories tally at Silverstone to nine wins, the most recent of which came in 2021. Last year's race saw Verstappen taste victory again, pipping both Norris and Hamilton to the top of the podium by just under four seconds.
