The Atlanta Braves may end up being one of the most active teams in baseball when the 2024 Major League Baseball trade deadline rolls around.

Atlanta is one of the best teams in the National League despite the heavy blows the club has dealt with injury-wise. The Braves currently are without the services of two of the club's best players in Spencer Strider and Ronald Acuña Jr.

Even without Strider and Acuña, the Braves still have been one of the best teams in the National League and currently hold the top Wild Card spot.

Atlanta still should be considered a World Series contender and likely will use the trade deadline to fill up roster holes as it prepares for a stretch run. The Braves reportedly already have looked into adding more help for the starting rotation, according to the New York Post's Jon Heyman.

"Every contender seeks bullpen help, including the (New York Yankees) and (Baltimore Orioles)," Heyman said. "These are among teams that have at least looked into starting help: (Arizona Diamondbacks), (Houston Astros), (Minnesota Twins), Yankees, Orioles, (Texas Rangers), (Milwaukee Brewers), Braves, and (San Diego Padres)."

It's not too surprising that the Braves already have looked into adding pitching but it should be considered a good sign.

Atlanta has a chance to do something special this season but adding to the rotation should be considered a necessity with Strider out. The National League is having a down year overall this season so the Braves really do have a chance to make some noise with a big trade deadline.
