The Seattle Mariners are loaded with exciting, young talent but are one solid offense piece from truly competing in the American League.

Seattle boasts one of the best starting rotations in baseball but its offense has been one of the worst. The Mariners are on the outside looking in right now in the American League Wild Card race with the trade deadline looming but things could change with a good deadline.

The Mariners have plenty of exciting pieces that would do wonders in trade packages. Seemingly every team is looking for young pitching and the Mariners have a surplus. This is how they could end up making a major swing.

Seattle even was mentioned as a possible fit for Chicago White Sox superstar Luis Robert Jr. by Bleacher Report's Zachary Rymer.

"The Mariners have the resources to trade for Robert, and they now have an immediate need for him in center field after Julio Rodríguez sustained a high ankle sprain on Sunday," Rymer said. 'He's going to be out for a while. J-Rod won't be out forever, though, and there's otherwise a case that Robert is too volatile a hitter for Seattle. He's striking out in 34.3 percent of his plate appearances."

Robert has 12 home runs and 24 RBIs so far this season in 49 games and had 38 homers and 80 RBIs last year in 145 appearances. If the Mariners could land someone like him to keep around for the next few years, it could completely transform their lineup for the better.

There's a lot to be excited about in Seattle right now and the trade deadline should end up being a positive for it as well.
