Shohei Ohtani spent last week in the leadoff spot for the Dodgers while Mookie Betts nurses a broken hand. All he did in that stretch was enough to win his second National League Player of the Week award of the year.

Ohtani last week posted a .458 average, a .567 on-base percentage and a whopping 1.083 slugging percentage thanks in part to his four home runs and three doubles. He also drove in 11 runs, scored eight, walked six times and struck out only twice. It was a truly magnificent week at the plate for the reigning American League MVP.

This marks the third NL Player of the Week win for a Dodgers player. Ohtani won his first for the week of May 5, and Teoscar Hernandez won it the week of June 8.
