Australian rising star Jamie Mullarkey has called out one of the sport's biggest names, following a dominant unanimous decision at UFC 284 in Perth.

The 28-year-old was up against a tough test on Sunday against Francisco Prado, but proved far too strong for the previously-undefeated Brazilian.

All three judges scored the fight 30-27 in Mullarkey's favour, giving the raucous Aussie fans plenty to cheer about early on the card.

But it was the post-fight interview that will certainly make some noise, with Mullarkey (16-5) calling out English fan favourite Paddy Pimblett for a future bout.

“I’m glad you asked – there’s this lad that thinks he can’t get knocked out because of where he’s from," he said.

"Paddy Pimblett, get in the cage with me and I’ll put that Scouser chin to the test son."

Mullarkey is one of the fastest-rising stars in the lightweight division, winning three of his past four fights and cementing himself as a dangerous competitor inside the octagon.

His victory over Prado was a perfect way to continue his ascent up the rankings and will put plenty of future opponents on notice.

UFC 284 will be headlined by pound-for-pound king Alex Volkanovski challenging lightweight titleholder Islam Makhachev for a chance to become a double champion.
