LeBron James had one thing in mind entering the gold medal match at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The 39-year-old wanted to win his third Olympic gold medal in what will be the final Olympic Games of his career. Before he got the chance to wear the gold medal around his neck, James donned gold shoes.

The Lakers forward initially wore a blue galaxy version of his LeBron 22s before switching to the gold LeBron 22s. He's kept them on throughout the game, hoping to foreshadow the type of medal he wins after.

James was intentional in what shoes he wore for the gold medal match. They weren't bronze or silver. He wore gold shoes because he wanted the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

James put them on after initially wearing a blue galaxy version of his LeBron 22s.
