Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic always seem to have so much fun whenever they get the rare opportunity to play together. Not only are they two of the top players in the NBA right now, but they also appear to be two of the best friends in the league.
Doncic plays in Dallas and Jokic in Denver. One is from Slovenia and the other Serbia, but it feels like these two grew up together and play basketball with each other on a daily basis the way they bond on and off the court.
Their playful antics and pass-happy on-court relationship have NBA fans dreaming of a potential team-up one day. If the two joined forces, it would create a nearly unstoppable offensive combo.
They played on the same team during the "Night of the Dragon" Goran Dragic Farewell Game, and Doncic's former Mavericks teammate, Dirk Nowitzki, says if they do play together in the NBA one day, he "hope(s) that would be in Dallas."
Neither of their respective teams would willingly move on from either superstar player anytime soon, but it is still something to ponder for down the line.
"I'm not sure if that will ever happen, but obviously, both are two of the best players in the world, if not the best players in the world," said Nowitzki.
If they were to one day play together in the NBA, they would form the most lethal one-two European punch in basketball history. It feels like it is meant to be.
