Malika Andrews has enjoyed a rapid rise to prominence since making her ESPN debut back in 2018.

The 29-year old is one of sports media's most recognizable figures, offering up her expertise and charisma on ESPN's NBA Today and NBA Countdown and garnering praise for the professionalism she displays on set.

Such composure was on display just a few weeks ago, when Andrews guided her NBA Countdown colleagues through an earthquake. The clip went viral many times over on X, the website formerly known as Twitter.

Andrews is a rising star at ESPN — and so too is her longtime boyfriend-turned-husband Dave McMenamin, 41, another journalist who works for the Worldwide Leader in Sports.

Andrews and McMenamin officially tied the knot on Aug. 24. The couple were married at Cavallo Point, a national park that leads towards the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

The wedding was filled with allusions to Andrews and McMenamin's paths toward one another — see the Syracuse Spritz cocktails, which were served as a not-so-subtle nod to McMenamin's alma mater. And that's not to mention the existence of a fully-functional basketball hoop at the reception.

Andrews and McMenamin met in 2017 after both were assigned to cover a Knicks vs. Cavaliers game at Madison Square Garden. Seven years later, they made the walk down the aisle. Hollywood couldn't dream up a better script than this.

"It was such a joy to be surrounded by our family and friends," Andrews said, per Vogue. "And while I am loving reliving the night by swapping stories with Dave and our guests, and looking back through photos... I am so looking forward to settling into our marriage.”
