Former NBA champion Nick Young clarified his recent loaded post on his X account, in which he compared Kyrie Irving to Steph Curry, similar to how Kobe Bryant is compared to Michael Jordan.

In the post, he seemed to make the argument that, in the same way that Bryant never gets any love for being better than Jordan, Irving also suffers from that treatment when it comes to Curry.

"I like Curry. I like both, but the way people talk about Kyrie is not the same way people talk about Curry," said Young while on the Gil's Arena show.

"They say he is the most talented person in the league, Kyrie. I never hear people say that about Steph, I hear he is the best shooter," added Young.

Young claims people go straight to the championships when discussing the all-time greats and use that as the measuring stick rather than the overall talent and skill itself. He makes the assertion that Irving and Bryant had more in their bag than Jordan or Curry.

"People put the championships for Curry over everybody else like they do with Kobe and Jordan," said Young.

He doubled down on his beliefs but made sure to clarify that he meant no disrespect to the other two NBA legends. He just does not like the way Irving or Bryant are not held up on just as high a pedestal for their greatness.

"Jordan was like the shiny object in the big man era, and Kobe played against multiple," said Young. "D-Wade, Paul Pierce, you got Ray Allen, you got T-Mac. I don't feel like MJ had a package. It was quicker moves, jumping high and finishing," said Young.

He is not entirely off with this take. Most basketball fans would have Jordan over Bryant and Curry over Irving, but he makes the point that Bryant and Irving have more to their overall game, whereas Jordan and Curry are mainly dominant at just a couple of things.
