The New York Knicks have been clawing their way up the NBA ranks each of the past three seasons, and after acquiring Mikal Bridges this offseason, their time at the top may soon be upon us.

At least Tom Brady thinks so. The winningest football player of all time knows a thing or two about making it all the way to the championship game, and while chatting with Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart on the Roommates Show, Brady hyped up the Knicks' future prospects.

"To win the Super Bowl is just a whole other thing. It is probably like getting to the finals. It is hard to get there, and then once you get there now, you really gotta compete," said Brady. "I have a feeling you're gonna get there."

New York has not made an NBA Finals appearance since 1999 and they have not won a title since 1973. The franchise is starving for a championship. They have built some nice chemistry and have a swagger to their game. Brunson has bumped the team up to a whole new tier with his MVP level of play. Brady may be on to something.

While football is a completely different game from basketball, winning at the highest level remains the same no matter the sport. The Knicks would be wise to use Brady's remarks as motivation rather than as a sign of fulfillment.

They have not won anything yet, but the pieces are in place, and it always helps to have one of the GOATs on your side.
