82 games are a lot to play for any NBA team and each one holds a significant importance. But there are a select few that hold a bit more 'weight' than others, and this is that list of games for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
October 24 - Thunder at Nuggets
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander exited last season placing second in MVP voting behind Denver's Nikola Jokic. Now, the season opener has the two most valuable players, and last season's one and two seeds, going head-to-head.
October 30 - Thunder vs. Spurs
The Chet vs. Wemby rivalry is just beginning, and it is must-see television. The top two rookies of last season look to battle it out in their first matchup of the 2024-25 season in Loud City.
November 13 - Thunder vs. Pelicans
Last season, these two teams faced off in the first round of the playoffs, and OKC handled business. Now, with a potentially healthy Zion Williamson, this game will be much more intriguing.
November 15 - Thunder vs. Suns
Whenever Kevin Durant returns to Oklahoma City, there is always a heated atmosphere. While the Thunder swept the Suns last season, the KD and Booker duo will always provide good competition.
November 17 - Thunder vs. Mavericks
Maybe the most anticipated matchup of the Thunder season, the Mavs sent OKC home last season in the playoffs. Now, the Thunder look to take revenge for what happened.
November 27 - Thunder at Warriors
The last time the Thunder were in the Bay, Chet put up a historic performance and an incredible shot. And as always, Shai vs. Steph is first-class.
November 29 - Thunder at Lakers
With LeBron James increasing in age, who knows how much longer the King has left. The oldest superstar against the youngest superteam is a must.
January 10 - Thunder at Knicks
Isaiah Hartenstein makes his first return back at The Garden, so it will definitely be an emotional game.
February 24 - Thunder vs. Timberwolves
This is the final matchup of a four-game series against the Wolves, and the SGA vs. Ant rivalry is something everyone wants to see.
March 31 - Thunder vs. Bulls
Speaking of emotions, Josh Giddey makes his first return to OKC since being traded to Chicago.
