The Utah Jazz made Colorado small forward Cody Williams the first player to come off the board from a Big 12 Conference school in the 2024 NBA Draft, taking him in the lottery with the No. 10 overall pick.

Williams, 6-foot-8, was the highest-rated recruit in Colorado history.

Williams battled injuries as a freshman at Colorado, including a broken orbital bone, but still averaged 11.9 points and was named to the All-Pac-12 Freshman Team. He’s the younger brother of Oklahoma City Thunder star Jalen Williams, the No. 12 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.

The Atlanta Hawks selected French wing Zaccharie Risacher with the No. 1 overall pick. It was the second consecutive year the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft came from France following Victor Wembanyama in 2023.
