Conference expansion has had a significant impact on TV rights deals. For the Big Ten, all games will be on NBC, CBS, and FOX thanks to a monster 7-year, $7 billion media rights deal that will go through the 2029-2030 season.

NBC added a new member to its Big Ten coverage team. Former Texas Longhorn and longtime NFL veteran Colt McCoy will join the network. This news comes as McCoy announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday morning.

McCoy spent all four years with the Longhorns, throwing over 13,000 yards and 112 touchdowns. The Cleveland Browns drafted him in the third round, and he has also played quarterback for the 49ers, Commanders, Giants, and Cardinals.

He will serve as a color commentator for the upcoming 2024 season. Play-by-play commentator Paul Burmeister and sideline reporter Kathryn Tappen will join him in the booth. The trio will debut in a highly anticipated matchup in Lincoln as the Nebraska Cornhuskers host the Colorado Buffaloes.

NBC has announced their TV schedule for the first three weeks of the season with multiple Big Ten teams in the spotlight. Michigan, Oregon, Washington, Nebraska, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, and UCLA are the teams that will receive coverage from the station so far. With a new era of college football just days away, it will be exciting to see how the coverage looks this season.
