And the two teams share a number of similarities entering the season.
The Trojans, newly minted members of the Big Ten, look to replicate the success of last year's offense, which was the third-highest scoring outfit in the FBS. Redshirt junior Miller Moss is set to replace Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in April's NFL Draft. Last year, while filling in for Williams, Moss threw for 372 yards and six touchdowns in the Holliday Bowl.

Lincoln Riley's team is set to unveil a new-look defense led by former UCLA defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn, who replaces embattled defensive coordinator Alex Grinch (fired in November).
Much like the Trojans, the Tigers are breaking in a new quarterback. Jayden Daniels, last year's Heisman Trophy winner, is in the NFL, handing the reins to redshirt junior Garrett Nussmeier. Though he's played sparingly across the last three seasons, Nussmeier shined in relief of Daniels in last year's ReliaQuest Bowl, throwing for 395 yards and three touchdowns.
And Brian Kelly is ushering a new era of LSU defense, with Blake Baker back for his second stint in Baton Rouge as the new defensive coordinator, replacing Matt House.
