Oklahoma State returns almost every starter from 2023, including Doak Walker Award winner Ollie Gordon II. At almost every position there’s NFL talent on tap for the Cowboys — which means missing the postseason just isn’t in the cards.
CBS Sports projected the entire College Football Playoff and every bowl game and put No. 17 Oklahoma State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl against No. 7 Notre Dame on Dec. 28 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
CBS had 10 of 16 teams from the Big 12 Conference making it to the postseason, including Utah and Kansas State in the CFP.
Both Oklahoma State and Notre Dame out of the CFP would be a disappointing end for both programs in 2024. Oklahoma State went 10-4 in 2023 and capped the season with a win over Texas A&M in the Texas Bowl — the 18th consecutive year the Cowboys have played in a bowl game.

Career high & Texas Bowl record in rec. yards (164) & they were ALL needed. He made the tough plays, he made the crucial plays and, as always, he was an emotional leader.
63/895 5 TDs for @luxury_owens12 is one Helluva year, & he's one Helluva player!… pic.twitter.com/hBH4Sy2Yz1
