With a new coach at the helm, Syracuse football has high expectations going into the 2024 season.

Fran Brown, the former Georgia defensive backs coach, replaced Dino Babers and helped to assemble the program's highest-rated recruiting class in recent memory. The Orange landed some high-profile transfers, including former Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord, who threw for 3,170 yards and 24 touchdowns last year.

Another one of Brown's key moves was hiring Elijah Robinson, who was named Texas A&M's interim head coach for the last two games of the 2023 season, as the Orange's defensive coordinator. Defensive lineman Fadil Diggs followed Robinson to Syracuse, and All-ACC preseason linebacker Marlowe Wax returns as the heart and soul of the defensive unit.
