It took exactly one week's worth of action for Colorado's Travis Hunter to remind the world why he's one of the best players in college football.

With Hunter and the Buffaloes opening the 2024 season at home against FCS power North Dakota State, many eyes were on the proceedings in Boulder. In addition to questions around a potential upset, many wondered what Hunter and his QB, Shedeur Sanders, had in store for Year 2 with the Buffs.

The duo was nothing short of electric in Colorado's 31-26 win over NDSU, and Hunter in particular set the world ablaze. Here is a breakdown of Hunter's performance in the season opener, complete with highlights and reactions from throughout the sports world.

Fans saw plenty of Hunter during Week 1, with the star taking a healthy number of snaps as a WR and CB.

Hunter showed his dominance as a pass catcher, snagging seven receptions for 132 yards, including a 41-yard receiving TD early in the first frame. Hunter's early score was one of a Colorado record-tying three receiving TDs he scored in the game, with the third causing an uproar on social media.

In addition to his offensive stats, Hunter recorded three tackles on the defensive side. It was a very solid day at the office for the junior.
