The Chicago Bears should be significantly better in 2024 than they were in 2023.

Chicago has had a great offseason in all stretches of the imagination. The Bears had a great draft and have been active both in free agency and through the trade market. Chicago clearly has been aggressive but still should be considering more moves ahead of the training camp.

The Bears could use a boost at defensive end and one of the top best free agents still out there is one-time Super Bowl champion Emmanuel Ogbah. The 30-year-old is looking for his next opportunity and the Bears were called the "best fit" to land him by USA Today Sports' Ayrton Ostly.

"Ogbah had nine sacks per year in 2020 and 2021 before falling out of the starting rotation in 2022 and 2023," Ostly said. "He still managed 5 1/2 sacks and six tackles for loss last year despite a career-low 240 snaps. He turns 31 in November but doesn't have as much wear as you'd expect for a defensive lineman at that age. He took snaps in the interior in 2023 after primarily playing at edge in his career, offering a team some flexibility.

"A productive, under-valued veteran pass rusher would be a good fit in Chicago. The Bears didn't invest much in defensive line during the draft because of limited draft capital but did trade back in to take Austin Booker in the fifth round. Ogbah could offer depth while Booker and other young players develop. Best fit: Chicago Bears."
