There has been a lot of movement across the National Football League over the last few weeks.
Teams had to trim down rosters and therefore hundreds of players became available. In response, franchises made a flurry of moves to add to practice squads and even update 53-man rosters after initial cuts.
The Green Bay Packers certainly have been busy and seem to be in a really good spot with just three days to go until the team's Week 1 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil.
It's certainly going to be an exciting season and even more changes could come depending on how the campaign begins. Bleacher Report's Joseph Zucker even mentioned former Packers superstar Davante Adams as a possible trade deadline option if the Las Vegas Raiders start off slowly.
"Adams' salary is only going to become more cumbersome as well," Zucker said. "He'll carry salary cap hits of $44.1 million in 2025 and 2026, which will be the highest among all receivers next season and second-highest two years from now. Maybe the Raiders genuinely believe their 5-4 record in the second half with interim and now-permanent head coach Antonio Pierce was an indicator of their future performance.
"Their decision to roll with Gardner Minshew as the starting quarterback would seemingly refute that notion, though. Assuming Las Vegas does come out slowly, dealing Adams ahead of the Nov. 5 trade deadline would make more sense than keeping him on the roster."
Adams is one of the best receivers in football and has been mentioned in trade rumors throughout the summer. Keep an eye on him over the next few months.
