After beating the Green Bay Packers at home this past Sunday and remaining the only undefeated preseason team in the AFC West, the Denver Broncos were the topic of discussion for a variety of different programs and shows.

One such show was the Pat McAfee Show, where guest speaker and former New England Patriots coach Michael Lombardi gave his thoughts and opinions on the future of the Broncos.

Lombardi highlighted that the Broncos have only beaten their AFC rival Raiders once out the last five years, but believes that Sean Payton knew what he was doing when drafting the Oregon rookie:

"Bo Nix is what scouting is all about. It is called scouting inside-out. Sean Payton knew exactly what he wanted in a quarterback... and he saw Bo Nix and [his play style] fit".

Lombardi later went on to say that after only winning eight games last year, he thinks the Broncos will be much improved with Bo Nix at the helm.

In Nix's limited play against the Packers, he completed eight of his nine passes for 80 yards and a touchdown. If Nix continues to play with high accuracy and precision, the Broncos should have no issue beating their win total from last season.

The next time the Broncos take the field will be on Sunday, August 25 where they will take on the Arizona Cardinals.
