PFN (Pro Football Network) is not confident in the Carolina Panthers quarterback situation leading into the 2024 NFL season.

In its recent list of the eight worst quarterback situations, PFN ranks Carolina fourth.

The issue is Bryce Young, the 2023 No. 1 overall pick. Young had a 59.8 completion percentage and a 73.7 passer rating.

The Panthers have spent the offseason improving the supporting cast for Young.  An enhanced offensive line and a new head coach in Dave Canales who has a reputation for helping young quarterbacks based on his work with Baker Mayfield and Geno Smith.

If things do not work out with Young, veteran Andy Dalton, is his backup.

The Panthers finished 2-15 in the NFC South last season.  The division is viewed as one of the least competitive in the NFL.  It consists of the Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
