One former longtime member of the Green Bay Packers is looking for his next opportunity and should find one very soon.

Former Packers star tackle David Bakhtiari has dealt with some serious injuries over the last few years which have limited him to just 13 games over the last three years, but he should be good to go in 2024 and is a free agent now.

When he has been healthy, he has been one of the best tackles in football. From 2016 to 2020 he racked up three Pro Bowl appearances and five All-Pro nods.

Although he hasn't been healthy over the last few years, a franchise certainly will take a chance on him this summer, and the Los Angeles Rams were called the "best fit" for him by USA Today Sports' Ayrton Ostly.

"In November 2020, the Packers made Bakhtiari the highest-paid offensive lineman in NFL history," Ostly said. "He tore his ACL in practice a month after signing that deal and still made his fifth consecutive All-Pro team. Since then, he's played in just 13 games, missing time in 2021 and 2023 due to a knee injury. The Packers released him prior to the 2024 NFL Draft in which they took offensive lineman Jordan Morgan in the first round.

"Still, between his resume and a position that regularly sees players perform well into their mid-30s gives reason to think he can at least provide depth. The Los Angeles Rams invested in their interior offensive line in the draft and free agency over the last two seasons. If Bakhtiari is healthy enough, they could use a veteran option from a similar offensive system. Best fit: Los Angeles Rams."

While this isn't a guarantee that Bakhtiari will end up in Los Angeles, it could make sense.
