The Tennessee Titans took part in their second and final joint practice with the Seattle Seahawks ahead of their preseason Week 2 game on Saturday and two pass-catchers exited early in tight end Josh Whyle and wide receiver Kyle Philips.

Head coach Brian Callahan revealed that Whyle hit his head during the session and went inside as a precaution. Meanwhile, Philips is dealing with a hamstring injury, the severity of which is unknown at this time.

"Josh Whyle hit his head on the ground in a one-on-one, so took him in as a precaution," Callahan said, according to Kayla Anderson of 104.5 The Zone. "Kyle Philips had a hamstring."

Whyle has been having a strong offseason and is in line for a significant role. He is listed as a co-starter with fellow tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo on the team's depth chart.

Philips finds himself in a precarious situation ahead of his third season, as the UCLA product is fighting for a roster spot after the team made significant additions at the position earlier this offseason.

With DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, Tyler Boyd, Treylon Burks and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine all being roster locks, there may only be one spot up for grabs, and two at the most. Philips has managed to stand out this offseason, but an injury could end his hopes of making the roster.

The Titans will return to the field against the Seahawks on Saturday in preseason Week 2, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET.
